Stop 6After leaving the library, cross the street to the two large coast redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens). Beneath the trees is a bronze plaque on a redwood base honoring the memory of William Pecora, USGS Director from 1965 to 1971. As you continue walking toward Building 1, you will pass Building 20 on your left. This is the USGS services building and is home to the mail room, the Menlo Survey Federal Credit Union, and at the far end a snack bar, which is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. |
